Redefining Training To Protect Civilians.

Specifically designed in and for the Ukrainian context, the Laws of War Bootcamp bridges the gap between theory and practice in the Law of Armed Conflict (LOAC). Designed by military experts, it offers interactive, real-world training to make learning engaging, practical, and effective.

Transforming How LOAC Is Taught

Civilians often face devastating consequences in times of war, as Law of Armed Conflict (LOAC) norms are often overlooked or violated. Against the background of the armed conflict in Ukraine, the Laws of War Bootcamp was created to educate fighters, raise their awareness of LOAC’s core values, strengthen its reputation and advocate for better adherence.

By rethinking how LOAC is taught, the Bootcamp aims to protect civilians and foster a deeper respect for the laws of war in Ukraine. Moving beyond traditional lectures to interactive, scenario-based exercises the Bootcamp allows learners to apply IHL principles in real-world situations that they may encounter in Ukraine. This in turns increase the likelihood of their concrete applications on the ground for the benefits of civilians.
